On the Edge!

DCM Friday again and here it is:-

"We'd love to see you making use of all sorts of border treatments; scallops, trims, pleats, or anything else which makes the edges of your papers and cards look special. You could use Border Punches, Die Cutters, Lace, Fancy Trims and that's just for starters - let your imagination live right on the edge this week - or maybe even go right over the edge!"

Away with the Fairies...

DCM dare day again and its a special Guest Designer dare from Gail. Fairies - use them on your card. Click here for the full details on the DCM blog and in the meantime, here is my card :-

Fairies

I've made my card to fit in with the challenge over at Dotties World this week, as I've been itching to use the gorgeous new digital pixie/fairy stamps by Louise Bridgen. Coloured with copics and layered for a 3D effect and papers are Cosmo Cricket.

Green

Nature's Beauty - day 2, Green

I got myself down the Dene today and I'm so glad I did, it was a lovely warm and (partially) sunny day. Plenty of greenery for me to start snapping! :) Here are a few pics for today's prompt from HSMSHS :-

Deliciously Naughty!!

Nope, I didn't make these - and believe me, you really wouldn't want to see my attempt at making anything like these let alone taste them! They're from Marks and Spencer and they were absolutely delicious! I ate most of them too. The silly lot, fancy leaving me with the best bits of the party!!

Deliciously Naughty!

The prompt from HSMSHS today is "Naughty" and since I had more than one (not telling how many) it was definitely naughty, scrumdiddlyumptiously naughty! The photo very slightly blurred, but I couldn't steady my hand enough - too eager to grab them all probably!!

Layers of Petals

Well just look at me.......blogging again so soon!! What is going on??? LOL

I haven't taken part in the HSMSHS prompts in a while and now I'm getting a little bit better organised I'm starting to practice those shots again and getting a little bit more crafting in too! :)

Layers

I hope this can count in today's prompt, which I've interpreted as layers of petals! I actually took this photo on Saturday and its of one of the very few flowers in my not very tidy garden. I really like this shot - took me about 100 photos to get a couple of ones that I think are half decent, but hey...practice and all that!

Mix-up Bags

I did a few of these and they're great for little girls (or boys with different images) party bags. I could've done a lot better, but I was very short on time, even so, I'm quite pleased with how they came out. The image is Annie, designed by Louise Brigden and I've coloured her with copics.

Take your mix up sweets out of the usual boring paper bag and pop them in a cellophane (A5) card protector. Cut a piece of white card to your desired shape and size ink the edges and staple it to the top of the bag (overlapping the back and front) tie a bit of pretty ribbon around and then use some foam pads to stick the image into place on the front. Bobs your uncle, you have a far nicer mix-up bag to give away! :) Just don't do what I do and pinch the sweets!!

Blue and Green Should Never Be Seen!! (Or should it?)

Its my turn this week to set the challenge over at the Daring Cardmakers and it says it all in the title. The old saying states we shouldn't put those two colours together, but of course, we all know they can work beautifully together.

I've done a little tag using MME Laundry line papers (which I've had for donkeys!!), used a Laura Ashley stamp, misc length of organza ribbon, white bazzil, a couple of little hat pins and some green adhesive jewels, which I think came from an old Studio Calico kit. Oh, and not forgetting a little piece of white lace.

And here I'm practising my close up shots!! You can really see the glitter on that gorgeous MME paper!!
