Time Out!!

Oh dear!! No sooner am I announcing that I'm picked for the Polkadoodle design team and I'm having to pull out from the team and back from cardmaking altogether for the next few weeks or so. :( That also means I'm taking a break from my blog too.

I've got a few things going on at home at the moment, which are starting to come to a head and I've just been hit with a very hard smack on the back of the head with realisation, that I quite simply haven't got the brain power to multi-task it all.

I want to say a very HUGE thank you to Nikki for picking me to be part of her fantastic new team and challenge blog and I'm absolutely gutted that I can do it! :(

Polkadoodledooooooooooooo!!!

WOW - Fabby news......I am now part of the new and fantastic Polkadoodle Doo design team!! Musical Dude!

Friday dare time again and I know I'm a bit late (I always leave it until Thursday night to do my card and then something just gets in the way!) You think I'd know by now!! Jane's turn to set the dare which she has themed "The Sound of Music" :-

"I want you to design a card which is 'Musically inspired'. Anything goes, whether you use musical paper, or an image of instrument - or even song lyrics."

I've got the lovely Mikey playing a guitar, which I thought was perfect for this dare :-

Using up remaining kits again. This card is for the current Dotties World Challenge - charming and today's Cute Card Thursday challenge - use letters or numbers. I've folded a 12 x 12 inch piece of card Anna Griffin style and used up a few tags. I think I'm getting into tags now!!

Just a quickie, a card for both Cute Card Thursday and this week's Papertake Weekly challenges. A card to cheer someone up and Animal Antics, hopefully this will cheer someone up - maybe me, but better still, I might send it onto someone at Postpals :-



Its my own little bunny once again, this time coloured with copics and I've placed him on Snack by Patti Picklicious. Have also used Kraft cardstock, amber crystals, velvet ribbon, KI Memories lace cardstock and a random big brown button!

Mammy

Another chance to make your wonderful Mum/Mam/Mom/Mammy/Mummy cards. That is today's challenge from Tanya over at the Daring Cardmakers. Here it is :-

"This week it's my first time to set the dare since being back - it's Mother's Day here in New Zealand on Sunday 10th May (not sure about other parts of the world), so this week's dare is to make a card with the word MUM on it somewhere.
It could be Mother's Day, birthday etc."

Well.....I have a confession to make - after clearing out and using up scraps and doing so well on my ban of buying new craft stuff (months and months now I tell you!) I have made a couple of purchases. As you can see, I've bought the gorgeous set of Annie stamps from Charmed - coloured with Copics (another purchase) and I've also bought the Patti Picklicious CD, which I've used here too (Summerbrooke Orchard collection). But....I did sell some wares on Ebay which funded these, so I'm not such a nawty girl afterall! :) Plus, they don't take up that much room!

Purple Madness

I'm not really a purple/violet/lilac sort of girl, I normally steer clear! But the challenge over on Dotties World directed me towards them (and of course using up some remaining bits of an old crop kit). Its another fab challenge, check it out here and I've based the layout of my card on this weeks fabby Papertake Weekly sketch :-

I've used purple Bazzil card stock and the papers are by KI Memories (christmas ones....eeek!) and I've used the gorgeous Madison at the ball image, coloured with my copics - do you think I'm getting a bit better? Its definitely better than my last attempt! LOL

Thanks for looking. I'm now off to try to clean the white gloss paint from my arm! I'm a very messy decorator - flippin hate it too!! LOL

Old MacDonald had a Farm............

Well........its my turn to set the challenge this week over at the Daring Cardmakers and I had to choose this week to start a bit of decorating!! The house is upside down and my mojo went walkabout, so that is my excuse for being late!! Here is my card :-



You know the song.....old MacDonald had a farm, eee I eee I oh! put together a card showcasing a farm animal or two! Have fun. :)
