Saturday Class - Sisters at the Scrummy Stash Cafe

Hello! :) This week its my turn to set the Scrummy Stash Cafe class and its my first ever one!!! It took me ages to put together, I hummed and haaard on for a good while so I hope you like and will have a go. :) This is the finished layout :-

The techniques I've used are stamping and tearing, so nice and easy!! I've used the new June Kit with the Vintage Bonanza button pack, but you can easily adapt the class using your own stash and materials.

The supplies are given below, but I have put the instructions into PDF format for you to download. Click here (follow the instructions) to get them and have a great time!!!

Supplies:

  • Photograph, approximately 18 x 14 cm (7 x 5 in).

  • 30.5 x 30.5cm (12 x 12 in) white cardstock.

  • 30.5 x 30.5cm (12 x 12 in) light brown cardstock.

  • 30.5 x 30.5cm (12 x 12 in) co-ordinating patterned paper/cardstock.

  • Scrap pieces of co-ordinating patterned paper.

  • Length of ribbon.

  • Length of rickrack.

  • Black/brown stazon inkpad (or other solvent based inkpad that will stamp onto acetate).

  • Journaling stamp, approximately 9 x 9 cm (3.5 x 3.5 in).

  • Piece of acetate to fit the size of the journaling stamp.

  • Good quality and tacky PVA glue and other adhesive.

  • Handful of co-ordinating buttons, in various sizes.

  • Permanent black/brown journaling pen that will write onto acetate.

I hope you enjoy this class and don’t forget to pop a link to your work in the comments section over at the Scrummy Blog, for us to come and see. Alternatively, email a jpeg image to scrummystashcafe@hotmail.co.uk.

As long as we receive the links/emails of your examples, by 9am on Saturday 5th July, you will be entered into our draw and one lucky winner will receive a £10 e-voucher to spend in the shop.

Thanks for looking, Vanessa. :)

Hidden Messages

Scrummy Stash Cafe Day!! This week's challenge is from Karen and she wants us to do a project with hidden messages or journalling. Pop over onto the blog to find out the details.

Here is my example and its an 8x8 page with the journalling hidden under a flap tied with a bow!

Don't forget.............. if you make a project for the challenge, you will be entered into a draw and one lucky winner will receive a £10 e-voucher to spend in the shop!!

I've used the Out and About No2 kit - full of gorgeous papers from the Out and About range from My Minds Eye (hence the name!!). This kit is now reduced at the Scrummy Stash Cafe. I've also used a small piece of KI Memories lace card stock and the ribbon is from my stash so it is different to what is supplied in the kit.

Thanks for looking. :)

Daring Cardmaker's Quick Card Challenge

I haven't done a DCM challenge in a while, I've had quite a few things on the go recently, but today, however, I have managed this one set by Bondgirl, which is :-

"I want you to make a QUICK CARD! a card that takes you no more than hmm say 30 minutes max to do - start to finish. No set ingredients and pick your own theme, but be quick and be crafty!"

Okay - mine isn't as quick as I intended it to be - they never are!! It took me approx. 45 minutes, but hey - that's very quick for me!!!

Supplies: April Kit from the Scrummy Stash Cafe (sold out), big brass button, black ribbon and little red buttons from stash.

Thanks for looking. :)

First Step

I thought it was time for me to do another Scrapbook challenge from the Craft Swap Forum. So....... I've done the June challenge and have adhered to most of it, although I haven't used two or more photographs.

I've used the May Kit from the Scrummy Stash Cafe. Its a 8x8 layout and is based/scraplifted from two layouts done by Maria, which you can see if you scroll down on the Scrummy Stash Cafe Blog.

Thanks for looking and if you're wondering (not that you will be!!), I'm planning a re-vamp of my blog so there are a few bits missing!! I'm also in the middle of doing my own banner, but I think its going to take a while............. I'm not a fast scrapper - digi or paper!! :)

Layer It!!

My turn over on the Scrummy Stash Cafe blog to set the challenge this week and I want you to use layers on your project. How you do it is up to you - from one simple open-flap to multilayered journaling, a see-though/acetate overlay or layers of embellishments! Remember, if you make a project specifically for this challenge you will be entered into a prize draw and you could win a £10 e-voucher for the shop.

I've done an acetate overlay and this layout overall has caused me no end of grief!! Especially with the craft robo! I love my robo but last night it just didn't want to work for me!! I don't even think the end result has turned out well!

Supplies - May Kit from the Scrummy Stash Cafe, Maya Road Chipboard Flowers and Acetate from Stash.

Angie's Saturday Class - Scrummy Stash Cafe

The Scrummy Stash Cafe blog are alternating each week between a challenge and a class. This week sees Angie's class and here is my version :-

I've used the Scenic Route Providence paper pack (avail. at SSC). I've done a little cheat as the instructions say to use a journalling stamp, but I've used a journalling die-cut which came in the pack!

I didn't have any white lace flower cardstock, so I did my own on my Craft Robo - another cheat - I cut it on blue cardstock and didn't paint (sorry!). I've put the file on the side panel if you'd like to have a go using it. Its not brilliant, but hey......I'll get better! LOL

Why not pop over there and have a go, post a link to your work in the comments or email a jpeg and you could win a £10 e-voucher for the shop.

Thanks for looking :)
