Ribbons!!! And Ooodles Of Them!

The latest challenge from the Scrummy Stash Cafe went live on Saturday. Set by Maria, she challenges us to decorate our project with oodles of ribbons! Which is a challenge for me as I've got plenty, but use very few!! Except on this project - I've bitten the bullet and used up plenty of my gorgeous ribbons!!

Thanks for looking. :)

Supplies:- Lots of miscellaneous ribbons from my stash, Bliss Kit from the Scrummy Stash Cafe, Brown Whisper Brush Pen and Habico clear flower stamp.

Di Hickman Jan #4 & DCM Foiled

I'm having a rather busy time at the moment, so I've combined a card for the above two challenges. And, I have to say - the foiling for the DCM challenge is rather small!! LOL. Anyway, here it is :-

Supplies:- Bliss Kit from the Scrummy Stash Cafe, Studio G Stamp, Dovecraft Charm Brad and Cuttlebug die.

A substitute!

The mid-week challenge over at DCM is to base your card around a sketch by Kathy. Not much crafting going on in my household at the moment, but hopefully this quick card I've put together will get my mojo going!! LOL.

I've used the Bliss Kit from the Scrummy Stash Cafe with some Basic Grey letters. Thanks for looking. :)

Supplies:- Bliss Kit from the Scrummy Stash Cafe, Basic Grey Sticker Letters, Whispers Brush Pens and Making Memories Shimmer Brad.

Hide and Seek

Hi again - two posts in one day! I'm on a roll! LOL.

This afternoon, I've attempted the DCM challenge set by Kathy. Which is :-

"I'd like you to make a card which has a hidden component of some sort. The hidden part could be a tag, a concealed photo, message or something along those lines, maybe a pull-out or pop-up.Anything goes as long as there's something extra for the recipient to find on your card that's not immediately visible when they open the envelope."

I think my card fits within the rule, its a gate-fold card and I've had a good old play with my DT Out and About kit again, from the Scrummy Stash Cafe. Don't forget, the new Scrummy Stash Cafe challenge has gone live this morning and the prize is a £10 e-voucher for the shop. Pop over onto the Scrummy Blog for the details. :) Thanks for looking.

Supplies:- Out and About No2 Kit and flourish stamp by Stamps Away from the Scrummy Stash Cafe. Red dotty ribbon from The Scrapbook Shop.

Anyone for Chips?

Hi, the latest challenge on the Scrummy Stash Cafe Blog has gone live so pop over and check it out to see what the challenge is. This week, its set by the lovely Angie so while you're at it, why not have a look at her fabby works of art too!

For my example, I've done a card using my scrumptious Out and About kit. For the image, I traced the bird from an old pattern pack I have, then flipped the paper and drew the bird facing opposite and added a brad for the flower. I coloured the birds using watercolours and added a dashed border around the image to create a frame. I matted this onto the No2 Berries paper (MME) and added a strip of ribbon.

I then covered some chipboard with the same paper and cut the heart and letters using my cuttlebug. I inked the edges of the pieces with red ink.

Thanks for looking and have a good weekend. :)

Wednesday Stamper - Kings

As per the title, the theme this week at WS is Kings - which has stumped me somewhat as I haven't got anything to do with kings (or an appropriate interpretation!) that can be stamped!! To top it off, my brain is more damp than it usually is today - must be the dreary weather we're having!! However, I do have a 3 kings stamp, which has featured on here several times, as I've used it on my Christmas cards, but the last thing I want to do right now is another Christmas card!! LOL.

So, I've been digging around my stamps and stash and making a right mess of the place (as if it wasn't already!) and I realised I still had some gorgeous little brad crowns left, which I thought was by best option. I then found floral background stamp (Whispers) which I haven't used for well.................. I don't know how long! In fact I don't think I've used since the day I bought it!!

I stamped the background stamp onto white card, matted it onto black card, added a strip of rick-rack and placed the brad in the middle. It is very quick and simple and I haven't added a sentiment as I'm not sure what I'm going to use it for yet, it will probably be changed for something else! Thanks for looking. :)

DCM Little Extra - Midweek Tribute

The Team over at DCM have challenged us today to pay tribute to Lynne and Gillian who have left the Design Team and asked us to create a card in the "style of either Lynne or Gillian's cards. Or maybe pick your favourite of theirs and use an element from their cards on your own card."

I noticed that Lynne did a card in September for the DCM "In the Frame" challenge and she used a little owl stamp by Stamps Away. I have that stamp and its a cute little stamp, so I thought I'd create a card using it. Thanks for looking. :)

Good luck to both girls! :)

Supplies: - Out and About Kit No2 (MME papers), Stamps Away Owl Stamp & Flourish Stamp - all from the Scrummy Stash Cafe.

Brad Pitt!!

No.....not the "real" Brad Pitt unfortunately!

I'm talking about this week's challenge over on the Scrummy Stash Cafe Blog. Samm is challenging us all to use up those brads that we all hoard and I'm sure I'm not the only one with plenty stashed away!

I've done a layout for the challenge and I've been playing with my new Cuttlebug and my Olivia alphabet dies - I told you to expect more from these!! Anyway, thanks for looking and pop over to the Scrummy Blog for more details and examples. At the end of the week, a winner will once again be chosen at random - who will then receive a £10 e-voucher for the shop!!!

Supplies: Bliss Kit from the Scrummy Stash Cafe, Colorbox Pigment Inks, Papermania brads.

DCM - Me and my Shadow!

Hello..........after a lovely day at our Crop yesterday (it just flies over far too quickly!!) and quite a busy day today, I've managed to do this week's DCM challenge. I've made two birthday cards with the Junkitz Salsa papers, which I've had in my drawer for quite some time now and I'm fairly pleased with them - they're quite funky!

I've also had a good play with my Craft Robo which I used to design and cut out the flowers for the cards. Thanks for looking. :)

Supplies: Salsa pps from Scrummy Stash Cafe, Dovecraft Charm brads and See D's stamp.

Wednesday Stamper - Keys

The theme this week on Wednesday Stamper is "Keys". As I am way, way overdue on sending someone a new home card - in fact two people - I thought this would give me a kick up the backside to get their cards done!

I've used a stamp (which I made myself from a drawing I did - I know, your kids could've done a better job, but no laughing please!!) which I stamped twice and then watercoloured the images and layered to create a 3D effect.

Thanks for looking. :)

Supplies: Papers from the Scissor Sisters, the key was given to me, ribbon from The Scrapbook Shop and the House and New Home stamps are my own.

CSF Fat Book Page Challenge - Flowers

I was asked last week if I would like to set the next Fat Book Page Challenge on the Craft Swap Forum (CSF), which is set every two-weeks. I was delighted to do this and the theme I've chosen is "Flowers", it could be a page about your favourite flower, you could focus on a season or you could focus on the meaning of the flower, e.g. Love with red roses (as valentine's day is approaching). The choice is yours as long as it incorporates a flower or flowers in some form.

Below is my page and I've used the left over scraps from my SSC Periphery Kit. Thanks for looking. :)

Scrummy Stash Scrappy New Year & DCM LE

I've been staying with my sister for a few days so there hasn't been much crafting going on and I've got withdrawal symptoms - how sad!! LOL. Anyway, we're getting back to normal now and I've started with the current challenge over on the Scrummy Stash Cafe, which is to use up those scraps and the Little Extra challenge over at DCM, which is to use something new!

Below is my effort - its quite simple and I think it looks like its lacking something! But anyway, here it is. I've used up my scraps left over from the BG Periphery papers and the something new bit is my CUTTLEBUG! I've used the "Thanks" die that came with the "Olivia" alphabet set. Be prepared to see more with this alpha set as its the only set of dies I've got for my Cuttlebug just now!

Supplies: Periphery Kit from the Scrummy Stash Cafe, Cuttlebug Olivia Alphabet Set, Maya Road Chipboard Flower, Glossy Accents.

Another Baby Card (edited)

Happy 2008. :) Hope you've all enjoyed the new year. Its been quiet here, but lovely and I've had plenty of Baileys to drink!!! I've not done an awful lot, but today I've made another baby boy card - no particular reason this time, I just wanted to use up some of my Anna Griffin papers and use my little footprints stamp. I't should go nicely with the current Wednesday Stamper challenge too, which is an open theme.

This is a bit of a cheat as it fits in with the current DCM challenge!! - 4th Jan 2008.

Thanks for looking. :)
